SmartWatt Energy is pleased to announce that Whitney Blanchard and Marissa Igoe have joined the company as Office Administrators in its Albany, NY corporate and Scranton, PA office, respectively.

SmartWatt Energy provides turnkey energy-efficiency solutions to commercial, industrial, institutional and utility clients, nationwide. In the past three years, the company has experienced a tremendous growth rate of 744%, adding several new locations across the United States, while continuing to expand its existing offices with the addition of staff.

Whitney most recently held the position of Marketing Executive at Six Degrees Marketing, where she was responsible for managing and organizing marketing campaigns from inception to completion and for updating and monitoring of the company’s website. Prior to this, she was an Advertising Sales Consultant at the Post-Star Newspaper, where she was heavily involved in customer relationship management, developing campaign-management tools to elevate client satisfaction and for the training and mentoring of new team members. Whitney graduated from the State University of New York College at Brockport with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing.

Prior to joining SmartWatt Energy, Marissa worked as a Staffing Coordinator for Medical Staffing Network. In this role, she performed administrative and clerical tasks, maintained and reviewed employee files, processed daily and weekly payroll reports and screened and evaluated prospective employees. She has also held the position of Customer Service Representative at Wegmans Food Markets, where she was responsible for receiving and directing customer calls and responding to customer questions and requests. Marissa graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and minor in Athletic Coaching.

As Office Administrators, Whitney and Marissa will be responsible for providing support to employees, answering and directing customer inquiries, organizing and maintaining office files, assembling lighting and multi-measure energy-efficiency project proposals and for managing general office projects.
