The 27th issue of Boston’s weekly Real Reporter newspaper featured the unique construction of Keiser Maine’s high quality modular housing systems, which is being constructed in cooperation with OakTree Development, in one of Massachusetts’s growing communities. The 222,000 square foot retail plaza is proposed for the intersection of Route One and Revere Beach Parkway.
The article explains that OakTree has been selected by the Federal Real Estate Investment Trust to add the residential section to the ground level commercial plaza. Keiser will pre-design, pre-engineer and ship each level of the multi-family housing project to the Cambridge-based OakTree company who then incorporates those into their modular system called “GreenStaxx.” These energy efficient housing levels are then shipped to the site upon completion, according the article.
Construction is scheduled to begin in October, with residency expected sometime in June 2013. This is notably one of the fastest residential projects of this type in 2012. The article goes on to mention that the quality control and construction costs are highly competitive thanks to this type of system.
Keiser constructs each home or commercial building in its state of the art, climate-controlled facility giving owners and developers peace of mind that building will not be subject to weather or site conditions and drastically shortening the length of time it takes to build.
Keiser also recently garnered local media coverage for its noteworthy developments in Maine’s first Net Zero 100% energy efficient homes in the Brackett Estates community of Wells, ME.
Keiser is a national leader in modular construction, setting new standards in quality and value for homebuilding and for multi-family and commercial development.
