At ENFOREX, we believe that Spanish competency is more than vocabulary and grammar, because true communication requires you to understand the person you are speaking to, as well as their culture and the traditions.

ENFOREX, an organization dedicated to Spanish immersion programs throughout the world, has introduced an innovative Spanish & Activity course at its Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru Spanish schools. The program includes intensive Spanish courses for four hours each morning coupled with carefully selected schedule of afternoon activities to further immerse participants in the local culture. The Spanish & Activity program coupled with a homestay with a local family help participants to learn to truly communicate in Spanish rather than just memorizing vocabulary and learning grammar.

"Our Spanish & Activity programs in Latin America help participants achieve higher Spanish competency at a faster rate because the student is still learning during the activities. In other words, they forget they are learning. At ENFOREX, we believe that Spanish competency is more than vocabulary and grammar, because true communication requires you to understand the person you are speaking to, as well as their culture and the traditions," explained Antonio Anadon, President of ENFOREX Spanish schools.

Spanish Classes in Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia utilize a dynamic teaching methodology based on recommendations of ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) that emphasize conversation. The class sizes are kept to a maximum of 5 students and the instructor uses a variety of techniques and drills to keep students engaged. Classes often include discussions about current events and socially relevant topics. Textbooks are augmented with music, video, literature and periodicals. Also important is ENFOREX’s efforts to extend the classroom into the local community to better learn Spanish in Peru. Standard language programs include several group activities each week to introduce participants to the culture of the country.

The Spanish & Activity program takes the concept of extending the classroom a step further by offering a full compliment of activities each afternoon. The well-coordinated schedule of activities includes visits to local markets, museums, cathedrals and other local cultural sites. Each participant is matched with one instructor during activities who explains the cultural and historic significance of each activity.

For 20 years, ENFOREX has been teaching Spanish as a second language to students from more than 50 countries. Each year, more than 35,000 students choose a Spanish program offered at one of ENFOREX's 28 Spanish institutes located throughout Spain and Latin America. ENFOREX is an accredited center of the Instituto Cervantes and has additionally been awarded the CEELE - Certificate for Excellence in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language - by the University of Alcala.
