Chesterfield, MO (PRWEB) July 12, 2012
VMH International, a Siemens PLM Solution Platinum Partner, and University of Missouri – Engineering College, are proud to announce a Joint Summer Internship Program. The partnership will benefit University of Missouri engineering students by offering real world application of the skills they have acquired at MU’s College of Engineering.
The internship will provide hands on experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) procedures, from the initial design of engineered products to the analysis stage of the PLM system. The interns will work directly with Siemens PLM customers as well as gain experience and training in Siemens NX 8, and other complementary PLM software including Cortona3D with Teamcenter integration and VERICUT CNC Machine Simulation software by CGTech.
“We are excited for the partnership and intern program,” said VMH International President and CEO Vern Heyer. “VMH and the engineering students of University of Missouri will both benefit from the relationship. By providing the students with in depth projects they will be better equipped to enter the engineering community, as well as, demonstrating the power of the Siemens PLM Solution.”
VMH International CEO and President Vern Heyer realized that the young engineering students entering the work force will need to have the first hand experience in order to be able to perform better than their competition; which lead to the creation of the VMH International Summer Internship Program. With the University of Missouri – Engineering College being accredited to producing talented, young engineers the partnership seemed perfect.
