Ensighten and visitor privacy solutions ], innovator of enterprise tag management systems and visitor privacy solutions that optimize web analytics and digital marketing performance, saw 300 billion website tags served to its publishing and e-tail customers during the quarter that ended September 30, 2012, representing a ten-fold year-over-year increase. More than 1,500 unique vendor tags were served by Ensighten during the quarter. The announcement, made at the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit, marks the tenth consecutive quarter that Ensighten has seen tag volume increase exponentially on its high-performance cloud-based TDN architecture.

Market leaders select Ensighten for mission-critical tag management

The increase was driven by increased usage of Ensighten’s technology by top brands and current Ensighten customers such as Dell.com, Microsoft, Putnam Investments, Sony Electronics, Staples.com, and United Airlines. Another key driver was the use of Ensighten Manage for tag management at the London Games during the summer, during which Ensighten delivered two billion tags during the two-week event.

Ensighten signed several key customers during the quarter from across a variety of sectors, including high-tech, financial services, healthcare, fashion and tourism. Customer wins included Humana, Intuit, Kapersky, ModCloth, MoneySupermarket, Nationwide Insurance, T-Mobile, TrendMicro, and Tourism Ireland.

Q3 highlights

Successful closing of a Series A round of $15.5 million, led by Volition Capital with participation from Eastern Advisors and Floodgate Fund.

Expansion of the Ensighten executive leadership team with the appointment of Naomi Kagan to vice president of client services and Andrew Thomas to vice president of engineering. Both are based out of Ensighten’s Cupertino headquarters.

The launch of Ensighten Connect, a new partner program to help digital marketing services and technology providers build and implement solutions for world-class brands.

Headcount increased by 30 percent across North America and Europe. Ensighten is hiring aggressively, particularly in sales and engineering
