Zone Labs CEO Petter M. Etholm, of Norway, discussed opportunity in America on WMST Radio

America is the land of educational and entrepreneurial opportunity, as I learned since moving here from Norway three decades ago

“America is the land of educational and entrepreneurial opportunity, as I learned since moving here from Norway three decades ago,” Petter M. Etholm, chief executive officer of Zone Labs Inc., marketers of Zone Diet products, told listeners of WMST AM & FM radio in Kentucky.

Etholm told WMST radio listeners that we should be grateful for the wonderful opportunities provided in this nation of mostly immigrant origin.

“If you have enthusiasm and drive to succeed, America is the best place to be. It is what America is all about,” he said.

Host Judy Byron of "Mornings with Tom, Judy and Dan, the popular morning drive-time radio show, asked Etholm about initially visiting America to earn a master’s of business administration degree and deciding to continue his career and raise a family here, eventually running a national retail franchise, heading a heavy equipment company and building the overseeing operations of a global nutritional firm."

Etholm's radio interview on WMST 1150 AM and 106.9 FM can be heard online at http://tinyurl.com/368squn.

“America offers a great array of business opportunity. On a local level, if you consider opening a store, you must believe in yourself. In the competitive retail world you need the right combination of products, financing and location. You have to be passionate about running a store and serving customers. It takes total commitment to succeed in retail, just as it does in any business,” Etholm said.

Zone Labs Founder and Chairman Dr. Barry Sears recently named Etholm the company’s CEO. Dr. Sears is author of the New York Times number-one bestseller, The Zone, and creator of the Zone Diet, online at ZoneDiet.com.

Etholm said he joined Dr. Sears at Zone Labs to help him offer Americans a path to lose weight and improve fitness based on the Zone Diet.

“With one-third of Americans obese, products of ZoneDiet.com are more important than ever as they help people reach an optimal weight and live healthier lives by providing delicious foods and nutritional products that satiate appetite and meet their dietary needs,” Etholm said.

“Zone 1-2-3 foods are produced with patented food technology to assure each product has one gram of fat for every two grams of protein and three grams of carbohydrates to meet the standards of Dr. Sears’ world-acclaimed anti-inflammatory Zone Diet," he added.

Zone Labs, the world’s leader in anti-inflammatory nutrition, markets Zone foods, fish oils and polyphenols. Dr. Sears’ books have sold more than five million copies in the United States and have been translated into 22 languages. Zone Labs Inc. is headquartered in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
