Santa Fe, NM (PRWEB) January 26, 2010

Experienced entrepreneurs seeking to kick-start innovative strategies for negotiating critical business transitions in today’s economy will convene outside Santa Fe, New Mexico in June 2010 where they will explore landscapes unique to the Land of Enchantment. This Entrepreneurs Walkabout will combine an adaptation of the time-honored aborigine tradition of “going walkabout” with modern frameworks for strategic thinking, reflection, business planning practices, and peer dialogues. The gathering will be led by internationally respected developer of dialogue and the Presence Walkabout™ technology, Glenna Gerard, along with Strategic Business Planning expert Elizabeth Fadell.

The Walkabout methodology is adapted from the aborigine of Australia where “going walkabout” denotes a journey by an individual or a group, with the purpose of renewing relationship with the principles that guide one in this lifetime. In New Mexico, the entrepreneurs will individually and as a peer-cohort tap the power of this land-based practice to connect with passion and vision, ignite creativity and generate new thinking and ways of acting to navigate the transitions they face in today’s unprecedented economy. "Entrepreneurs Walkabout is an opportunity to ground your aspirations and strategic choices for your business. Walking the landscapes in New Mexico provides a unique experience to connect with what is most important," observes Joe Sensenbrenner, business entrepreneur, philanthropist and former Mayor of Madison, Wisconsin.

The entrepreneurs who engage in this combination adventure and business exploration will come from different industries and regions within the United States. They are pioneers, not only because of their entrepreneurial spirit, but because they will forge new approaches for tackling current business issues, in ways that bridge corporate responsibility, strategic growth, and ecological and fiscal sustainability.

The design for this gathering of entrepreneurs evolved from a series of interviews done over 4 months in 2009 with successful entrepreneurs to discover what they felt they would be of value for themselves and their businesses at this time.

The 4-month process begins in June 2010 and is book-ended by two 4-day gatherings, in New Mexico. In the interim entrepreneurs will engage with each other in conference calls as they work in their businesses to test specific strategic ideas . The gathering concludes with 4 days in October 2010.
