E-recording with Simplifile greatly reduces the gap period for sending documents to and from the county.
FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. (PRWEB) December 05, 2012
Florida’s Flagler County now provides a new electronic recording (e-recording) service through Simplifile, the largest and fastest-growing e-recording service in the nation. With this new service, land document submitters such as title companies, attorneys, lien filers and banks are now equipped to electronically submit documents to the Flagler County office, minimizing the recording gap.
Coast Title Insurance Agency Inc. in Palm Coast, Fla., the pilot office for e-recording in Flagler County, successfully submitted the first mortgage document for recording to the county office through Simplifile.
“The process ran smoothly and we were honored to be the pilot office for Flagler County, who has been so helpful and great to work with,” said Sandra McDermott, president and owner of Coast Title. “E-recording with Simplifile greatly reduces the gap period for sending documents to and from the county.”
Out of Florida’s 67 total counties, 35 of them, with the addition of Flagler County, are now e-recording with Simplifile.
“E-recording has enabled us to provide a simpler, more efficient recording service,” said Flagler County Clerk of Court Gail Wadsworth. “Simplifile is easy to use and integrates seamlessly with our current land record management system. Plus, we’ve made one more step to have you online, not in line.”
Simplifile’s web-based service makes it easier for land document submitters to scan, upload and submit documents to the county for recording, eliminating the need for submitters to physically deliver documents by mail or in person.
“With Simplifile, county offices have the ability to receive, review, record and return the documents within minutes, shortening the recording gap that would otherwise take days or weeks with traditional recording methods,” said President of Simplifile, Paul Clifford.
Simplifile is the nation’s largest and fastest-growing e-recording service. Simplifile supports thousands of e-recording customers including title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers, and other organizations that create and submit documents to more than 790 local, state, and federal government jurisdictions. Simplifile’s electronic document services save time and the expense associated with traditional document submission methods.
