Washington County, Minn. now provides e-recording through Simplifile

E-Recording service provides a huge benefit to us and to the individuals who normally send their documents through the mail or physically bring them in to the county office.

Simplifile, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing electronic recording (e-recording) service announced Minnesota’s fifth largest county, Washington County, has made e-recording through Simplifile available to title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers and other organizations who submit land record documents to the county.

E-Recording enables counties to receive and record documents via that Internet that would otherwise arrive by express mail or courier service.

E-Recording service provides a huge benefit to us and to the individuals who normally send their documents through the mail or physically bring them in to the county office,” said Cyndy Boyce, Washington County’s division manager of property records. “Many people have worked hard to make this a smooth process, including Joel Barten with West Central Indexing, and we are excited to finally be able to offer e-recording through Simplifile.”

Edina Realty Title was the first title company to submit its documents to Washington County using Simplifile’s e-recording software.

“We have been anxious to submit our documents to Washington County using Simplifile’s online service,” said Marty Henschel at Edina Realty Title. “Without question, Simplifile has helped expedite the recording process in each county that we submit our documents to, and we have been very impressed with their service.”

Washington County is the 43rd county in Minnesota providing Simplifile’s e-recording software.
