By using Simplifile, customers will be able to send their time-sensitive documents to Muskegon County without having to leave their office, drive to the courthouse, or deliver the paper originals by mail.

MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. (PRWEB) December 09, 2013

Muskegon County, Mich., started electronic recording (e-recording) land documents with Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service provider, giving customers such as title companies, banks, attorneys, and other organizations the expedited option to electronically submit land documents to the county.

Muskegon County will be able to process and record documents submitted electronically through Simplifile faster than documents submitted by mail or courier service, as the paperless transaction takes place usually within minutes via the Internet.

“By using Simplifile, customers will be able to send their time-sensitive documents to Muskegon County without having to leave their office, drive to the courthouse, or deliver the paper originals by mail,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “E-Recording is faster, more secure, and it’s the most cost-effective way to record documents for both the county and document submitters; it’s a win-win for everyone involved.”

With the addition of e-recording in Muskegon County, there are now 15 e-recording counties in the state of Michigan, and nearly 1,000 e-recording jurisdictions nationwide using Simplifile.

In addition to cutting down on paper waste, the county and e-recording submitters will also benefit from reduced postage expenses, fewer rejected documents, and fewer payment errors.

“Instead of writing and mailing checks, recording fees can also be paid electronically via ACH through Simplifile,” Clifford said.

Customers who are new to e-recording can begin submitting documents to the county through a Simplifile user account and needing only a scanner and high-speed Internet access.
