Electronic recording (e-recording) in Lake County, Minn., is now available through Simplifile, the largest e-recording service provider in the U.S., expediting the overall recording process and reducing traditional recording expenses including paper, postage and mail fees.

With the adoption of e-recording, customers that traditionally submit documents to Lake County in-person, by mail, or by courier service will now have the option to submit documents through Simplifile’s web-based e-recording service within seconds.

Ekstrom acknowledged that e-recording has become a more common practice and the county began the process of incorporating it at the end of 2012.

“We’re excited to add the 53rd Minnesota county to our e-recording network and make e-recording available to Lake County customers,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “The incredible amount of time and money e-recording saves is undeniable, and our customers are able to get so much more done in their work day by using Simplifile to submit documents to the county online.”
