Electronic recording is part of our office’s ongoing effort to improve the taxpayer experience, gain efficiencies, and transition into a paper-less environment.
San Francisco (PRWEB) April 24, 2013
The San Francisco County Assessor-Recorder’s office is now accepting land documents for e-recording through Simplifile, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing electronic recording (e-recording) service provider.
“I am proud and excited to announce that the office of Assessor-Recorder is now implementing the electronic recording program for real property records in San Francisco,” said Assessor-Recorder Carmen Chu. “As we move forward, it is our priority to make the recording process as convenient and accessible as possible.”
With the availability of Simplifile e-recording, title companies, banks, law firms and other organizations that submit documents to Chu’s office for recording no longer have to use the mail or deliver documents in person, saving fuel, postage fees, and other expenses.
“Electronic recording is part of our office’s ongoing effort to improve the taxpayer experience, gain efficiencies, and transition into a paper-less environment. As we implement e-recording and carry out the document recording function, our customers will experience cost savings, quicker response time, and improved performance,” said Chu.
Thousands of customers in more than 870 recording jurisdictions throughout the U.S. currently send documents such as deeds and mortgages through Simplifile for recording, and that number continues to grow daily as more and more organizations transition from paper recording to e-recording.
“We share Simplifile’s mission of making the recording process easier for the San Francisco residents. Our office’s experience with Simplifile has been very professional and collaborative from day one, and we look forward to continuing this working relationship,” said Chu.
In addition to San Francisco County, Simplifile’s e-recording service is also available in 13 additional California counties including Los Angeles, Orange, Contra Costa, San Bernardino, and Santa Clara counties.
