We are especially excited to use the Crisis Manager module. It gives us one central place to record all actions taken from the onset of an incident and will save us a great deal of time and effort in the preparation of our reports.

ERMS announced Cogeco has enhanced its crisis communication and disaster response team collaboration capabilities with the Advantage emergency mass notification system.

The ERMS Advantage emergency notification system gives Cogeco the ability to quickly send emergency mass notification to stakeholders while providing the crisis response team the tools they need to connect and collaborate. The easy-to-use conference bridging creates a virtual war room for their widely dispersed crisis response team while Crisis Manager simplifies pre-, peri- and post-crisis reporting.

“Cogeco is a rapidly growing and geographically dispersed organization. We’re very pleased to be the provider they trust to send emergency mass notification to their stakeholder,” says Sylvain Rollin, President, ERMS Corporation. “Organizations like Cogeco need more than simple mass emergency notification. They need an enterprise-class and emergency-grade system that is comprehensive and flexible so they can use the system the way that best suits their needs,” he added.

Cogeco employees will be automatically added to the emergency notification system and offered several ways to update their regular and alternate contact information. By including alternate addresses, Cogeco will be able to identify employees (using the Mapper module) who may be impacted by a geographically based crisis and target notifications directly to those affected.

“With ERMS, we’re now quickly able to execute the communication portion of our business continuity and disaster recovery plans when an incident or crisis occurs,” said Maribeth Tessier, Director, Operational Risk Management, Cogeco Cable Inc. “We are especially excited to use the Crisis Manager module for response team collaboration and crisis reporting. It gives us one central place to record all actions taken from the onset of an incident and will save us a great deal of time and effort in the preparation of our reports,” she added.
