Mailers Can Now Generate Electronic Round Stamps On Their Postage Statements

Mailers can now benefit from generating an Electronic Round Stamp (eRound Stamp™) on their Postage Statements when they use the PostalOne!® system to transmit electronic mailing documents in conjunction with their DAT-MAIL™ software.

“DAT-MAIL can produce an eRound Stamp on the postage statement receipt with the corresponding Mailing Group ID# and PS# from PostalOne!” said Jeffery Peoples, Window Book’s CEO.

As of Monday March 15, 2010, the United States Postal Service® (USPS®) stopped manually applying a round stamp receipt on hard-copy postage statements submitted at facilities equipped with PostalOne!® This means a lot of mailers will no longer get a physical marking of mail verification and acceptance on their Postage Statements. Other mailers facing the same issue are those that are required to transmit Postage Statements electronically via the USPS PostalOne! system in order to participate in the Intelligent Mail® Full-Service option.

Window Book’s DAT-MAIL post-presort software has been enhanced to enable mailers to generate and print an Electronic Round Stamp (eRound Stamp™) on their Postage Statement receipts. Once PostalOne! finalizes the postage statement, DAT-MAIL can produce an eRound Stamp on the postage statement receipt with the corresponding Mailing Group ID# and PS# from PostalOne! This is just one of the many ways DAT-MAIL enhances mailing systems when mailers begin transmitting electronic documentation online using the PostalOne! system.

“Postage Statement receipts are one of the few ways a mail service provider, or mailer, can provide proof-of-mailing to their customers or other internal departments. DAT-MAIL allows these users to create and print the eRound Stamp as well as maintain a database by client, job and permit, which they can readily locate when needed,” said Jeff Peoples, Window Book’s CEO. “We are also currently working on facilitating Mail.XML™ files, so you can benefit from eRound Stamps when you upload Mail.XML files in the near future.”
