“Our goal is to help consumers give the perfect gift for themselves, a special someone or the hard-to-buy-for person and help the recipients Drive Smarter all ... throughout the year,” said Dave Smidebush, ESCORT's Vice-president of Marketing.

ESCORT Inc, a leading manufacturer of premium automotive electronic accessories and maker of the world's best radar and laser detectors, announced a coordinated national sales event for the 2010 holiday shopping season. The “Holiday Drive Event” is being promoted at all sales levels including national, regional and local outlets. “Our goal with this seasonal event is to help consumers give the perfect gift for themselves, their special someone or the hard-to-buy-for person and help the recipients Drive Smarter during the holidays and throughout the year,” said Dave Smidebush, ESCORT’s Vice-president of Marketing. “We have premium products that will protect drivers from unwanted tickets all year long,” he added.

The Holiday Drive Event will focus on expanding consumer awareness by presenting ESCORT’s premium automotive accessories, particularly their world class leading radar detectors, in promotional marketing sales offers. ESCORT’s flagship detector model, the PASSPORT 9500ix, will be the leading focus in the campaign.

The Holiday Drive Event is active and will run through Sunday, January 16, 2011. “Our coordinated national marketing campaign will have maximum impact as we will be promoting ESCORT products during the key holiday shopping and gift-giving season,” said Smidebush. “A majority of purchases will be accompanied by gift boxes for giving, free accessories and free shipping,” he added. ESCORT is using print, online, direct mail, email and point-of-sale advertising to communicate this limited time offer.

“Ticketing threats don’t take the holiday season off. We can help drivers be mindful of the targeting threat and stay alert at all times,” said John Larson, ESCORT CEO and President. “We have world class products designed to add awareness and safety to your driving experience,” he added. ESCORT’s premium products help consumers feel safe, secure and in control while driving. With ESCORT products, customers don't just drive ... they Drive Smarter.

Holiday Drive Event free gifts are available on qualifying product purchases from ESCORT and participating retailers and will include a free accessory package consisting of ESCORT’s SuperCup windshield mount and a combo accessory SmartCord (combination straight and coiled cord), a $50 retail value. As a bonus, ESCORT will include gift boxes (for select products) and free shipping. Customers will also be informed of ESCORT’s no-risk test drive policy, which typically allows drivers to use new ESCORT radar detectors for up to 30 days, extended for holiday purchases through the end of January 2011. ESCORT will also include their detector trade-in program along with the Holiday Sales promotion.
