Find a deal that matters.

Our intention is to help the consumer shop more efficiently by pulling all the promotions from the various retailers into one website destination.

eShopedia, a Bay Area start-up, announces the launch of http://www.eshopedia.com to simplify the search for shopping deals this holiday season, bringing retailers and social buying sites together in one place. No longer do consumers need to subscribe to countless emails or log-in to multiple websites just to view today’s special deals, thanks to the back-end technology on eShopedia’s website.

eShopedia simplifies the search for occasion-based deals from all retailers, with the potential of saving consumers hundreds, if not thousands, in terms of time and money,” says Co-Founder Jack Chiang. “We know that retailers amplify their promotions around holidays and big moments, like graduation and Superbowl Sunday. If you include occasions such as Back-to-School and Father’s Day, there’s at least one event that retailers can promote a sale around every month,” continues Chiang. “Our intention is to help the consumer shop more efficiently by pulling all the promotions from the various retailers into one website destination.”

eShopedia’s technology aggregates hundreds of occasion-based promotions from retailers daily and normalizes the information into one standard format that is easy for the consumer to browse through and digest. In addition, eShopedia also features deals from more than 30 social buying and “Deal-of-the-Day” websites. While these sites can offer great savings to consumers, they can also be frustrating because of the explosion of sites to track and in many cases, require customers to enter their email addresses. eShopedia has pulled all these deals into one place so there are no more emails, no more sign-ins, and no more hassles. “That’s potentially 30 less websites to visit and 30 less emails to read every day,” says Chiang. “Just pick and choose what you want and be done with it. Stop subscribing and start shopping.”

eShopedia’s business development team is constantly looking to establish relationships with new retail partners whose products or services match the needs of their customers. They also continuously work with existing partners to improve data quality and content, distribution methods, and promotional ideas. “Many of the retailers I’ve contacted are very responsive, sometimes responding to my emails at 9 pm at night,” says Chiang. “Instead of ‘garbage-in, garbage-out, we are striving for ‘quailty-in, quality-out’ and all our partners are on board to help us achieve that.”
