Boylan, Brown, Code, Vigdor & Wilson LLP partner, Mark R. Kossow, is scheduled to be a guest speaker at an ESOP Breakfast Seminar on Thursday, July 15th. The Seminar will focus on the use of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) in closely held companies with an emphasis on S Corporations.

Mark R. Kossow, a partner at Boylan, Brown, Code, Vigdor & Wilson LLP, along with Donald M. Israel, President of Benefits Concepts Systems, Inc., will speak at an ESOP Breakfast Seminar on Thursday, July 15th. The Seminar, which will be hosted by Randy J. Ross, Vice President –Investments, of RJR Clark Wealth Management Group, will focus on the use of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) in closely held companies with an emphasis on S Corporations.

Individuals who attend the seminar will learn how he or she can create liquidity for estate planning, defer capital gains taxes, prepare for succession planning, provide one of the best employee benefits, continue to control a company, have an ESOP in a profitable S Corporation and pay little or no corporate income taxes. Additionally, attendees will learn about IRC. SEC. 1042 rollover and legal issues regarding S Corporation ESOPs.

ESOPs were created in the tax code in 1974 and their unique tax advantages benefit the shareholders, the employees and the company.
