Software vendor, The Development Cloud has announced the immediate availability of eSpect which is a suite of nine add-on scans for Citrix Access Gateway Enterprise, the majority of which are available free of charge.
eSpect includes essential add-on functionality such as client certificate, MAC address and network detection as well as commercial options including end point security scanning of Windows Security Center status and GeoLocation detection.
"Over the years customers have often needed to extend the out of the box functionality for end point scanning on Citrix Access Gateway, it is great to be able to make these features available free of charge." said The Development Cloud's founder Tim Joslyn, "In addition our commercial options such as GeoLocation services allow customers to make access decisions based upon the location of the remote user detecting their country and city. eSpect only represents the first release of innovative functionality we will be bringing to the Access Gateway platform in upcoming months" he added.
As with all products from The Development Cloud, eSpect has a corresponding open source project where developers can contribute code and earn a share of commercial revenues. For more information see http://www.thedevelopmentcloud.com where the free software as well as a fully functional trial of the commercial scans can be downloaded.
