artnet Auctions invites you to bask in the sunshine with Eternal Summer, a cross-category auction with works by artists such as Slim Aarons, David Hockney, Elliott Erwitt, Isca Greenfield-Sanders, and John Baldessari, all of whom share a vision of the perfect summer. The sale features photographs, prints, works on paper, and paintings with estimates ranging from US$2,500 to 40,000.

What better way to kick off the summer than poolside in Palm Springs? While most people can only dream of sipping a glass of rosé in the California desert oasis, Slim Aarons captures the essence of this charmed life in Poolside Gossip: Lita Baron, Nelda Linsk, and Helen Dzo Dzo, Palm Springs (1970), estimated at US$16,000 to 18,000.

Another highlight of the sale is a mixed media and oil on canvas by Isca Greenfield-Sanders, whose Photo-realist style captures the feel of the ocean air. Estimated at US$20,000 to 30,000, Woman in the Waves II demonstrates Greenfield-Sander’s ability to tap into our memories of summers spent in the sand.

Eternal Summer will be live on artnet Auctions from May 7 through 14, 2013, and on view here.
