Editor's Ink, the content creation and web marketing company founded in 1997, has re-branded as Ethos Content, and has launched a new website in conjunction with the move. The name change and new website (ethoscontent.com) reflect the evolving nature of the services provided by the company, which primarily involve providing SEO copywriting services, white label SEO services, website and marketing content and product copy.
The new name is also a nod to the past and the classical concepts of Ethos, Pathos and Logos as modes of persuasion. Said co-founder Matthew Blevins, "Aristotle defined 'ethos' as the authority of the speaker, an authority that was based on the speaker's knowledge and expertise. We believe this concept ties in very neatly to the services we provide and our longevity as a successful online marketing company. The notion of authority is so ubiquitous within the organic search marketing landscape that the name Ethos Content is a natural fit for us on multiple levels."
Noted co-founder Michael Wist, "We have been providing copywriting and SEO services for a very long time and we're still one of only a handful of firms that provide both services entirely in-house. We take great pride in the fact that we have successfully evolved with the industry and that we continue to provide a very high level of service to our clients."
Blevins added that the company's traditional service offerings under the Editor's Ink brand, which included professional writing and editing services, SEO copywriting, white paper writing and SEO consulting, will change only slightly after the re-branding. "We've come to focus on a few core areas of content creation, with the primary services including enterprise-level SEO copywriting, website and marketing content production, private label SEO consulting and product marketing copy."
The name change and new website will also see the company focus more closely on product marketing copy, an emerging area of concern for many manufacturers. Product content creation is a service that Ethos Content has provided to multiple product manufacturing companies as they seek to clean up and more efficiently deliver product content to their suppliers. With new initiatives being continuously launched by manufacturers to deliver the best possible content to their customers, product information management (PIM) and product data and content management (PCDM) efforts are being implemented regularly. Said Wist, "We've found many manufacturers cleaning up their product data and instituting data management schemas, often at the urgent request of their customers and distributors. In most instances, however, the actual copy that is associated with the products is either incomplete, incoherent or simply too weak to effectively engage potential consumers. We work closely with our clients to ensure the accuracy of technical specifications and strict compliance with all formatting requirements. Our product description copywriters are quite adept at producing technically accurate and persuasive product copy on any scale required."
About Ethos Content
Ethos Content was founded in 1997 by Matthew Blevins and Michael Wist as "Editor's Ink, Incorporated," a writing and editorial services firm. The company has provided professional, subject-matter writing and search marketing services since that time and has worked with such clients as Dell, Merck, Young & Rubicam, Morgan Stanley, Peterson's, EDS, CITI Corp., Kelly Staffing Services, eHarmony, Stanley Black & Decker and an array of others. The company changed its name to Ethos Content in April, 2011.
Now, Ethos Content is a full-service company that creates, implements and manages the SEO content creation and online marketing projects of its clients. The firm's founders were among the first to establish the online writing and editing services business model which, prior to 1997, didn't exist in any discernible form. They were also early leaders in the provision of comprehensive search engine optimization services and remain on the cutting edge of the industry.
