Evolution Marketing Research Names Chief Operating Officer

Daniel Slawe, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel

Evolution Marketing Research, a premier healthcare marketing research company, announced the appointment of Daniel R. Slawe, Esq., to Chief Operating Officer.

Slawe has served as the company’s General Counsel since 2009 and will continue to serve in that capacity, overseeing legal and compliance functions. As COO, he will also manage all day-to-day operations of a rapidly growing organization.

According to Principal Jim Cummings, it was Evolution’s rapid growth that necessitated Slawe’s appointment. “We’ve almost tripled in size since we opened our doors in 2007,” said Cummings. “When a company reaches a certain size, the operational demands of the business can no longer effectively be handled by the research staff. The time was right for us to hire a full-time operating officer who could put all of the necessary structures and processes in place to keep the company running smoothly. Dan had been serving as General Counsel for more than a year, so we knew his capabilities.”

Added Cummings, “As General Counsel, Dan impressed us repeatedly with his operational thinking. He is very detail and process oriented and works well as the liaison between the researchers and the rest of the staff. It was a logical choice to make him our Chief Operating Officer.” Slawe’s tenure as Evolution’s COO began in January 2011.

Prior to joining Evolution, Slawe served as a commercial litigator at a prominent Philadelphia law firm. He also has extensive experience as a technology consultant in the banking and media industries. He received bachelor’s degrees in sociology of science and computer science from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was the recipient of the James Wilson Fellowship in Law and Technology. He is presently pursuing an MBA on a part-time basis from The Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
