Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) September 25, 2007
Experts on the use of social media - RSS, blogs, podcasts and video - in public relations and corporate communications are converging at a premier conference in Atlanta, November 14-16. Executing Social Media will address critical issues facing PR, marketing and corporate communication professionals in the age of social media.
"Every organization must reevaluate how they communicate with their stakeholders in the new landscape of social networking, blogs, online video, RSS, virtual communities, widgets and consumer-generated media," says Keisha Bocage, Interactive Public Relations Manager at Stevensfkm Agency in Houston, and conference moderator. "Considering the fragmented media landscape and the consumer's "Have it my way" mentality; social media must now be factored into every communications plan."
"Executing Social Media will deliver practical, how-to take-aways on deploying new media for business advantage," says John Gerstner, President of the Communitelligence Learning Academy, which is producing the event. " Attendees will hear from two-dozen experts and practitioners who are executing dynamic programs today.
Among presenters are PR, marketing and social media luminaries including Josh Hallett, Brian Solis, Linda Zimmer, Sally Falkow, Jamie O'Donnell, Katie Paine, Rob Key, Chip Griffin, Michael Geoghegan, Dan Greenfield, Vanessa DiMauro, Michael Rudnick, Jake McKee and Gary Goldhammer.
Paul Gillin, author of The New Influencers, is presenting the opening day keynote on how social media is changing business forever. There will also be a 6in36 luncheon presentation where six of this year's most interesting social media companies will present their products and services for six minutes each.
The conference is being hosted at both Coca Cola headquarters and Emory University. Following the main conference, there are three in-depth half-day workshops on November 16 covering SEO-PR 2.0 (Greg Jarboe), RSS Feeds (Sally Falkow) and Interactive PR Tools & Tricks (Linda Zimmer).
The Communitelligence Learning Academy produces How-to Teleseminars, CDs and conferences focused on emerging business communication trends and skills. Executing Social Media will give public relations and corporate communications professionals a better understanding of how to integrate RSS, blogs, podcasts and new media into conventional outreach campaigns.
