Brent, Gus and Blake are the new guys in Western Digital and they are already the centre of attention. They are getting corner offices and they are appearing everywhere, fronting campaigns for Western Digital. Just who are they and what do they do?

Meet the new mascots for Western Digital’s Blue, Green and Black hard drive series – Brent, Gus and Blake - three robotic dudes armed with the mission to educate consumers in making the right choices when purchasing hard drives.

More than a year ago, Western Digital came up with the Blue, Green and Black internal hard drive series, designed to help consumers make better informed choices in selecting their digital storage solutions. Now, WD has put faces and personalities to these hard drives in the form of Brent, Gus and Blake.

Brent represents the Blue hard drive which is built for reliability and steadiness for everyday computing. Gus represents the Green hard drive which is built to be cool, quiet and eco-friendly for reducing carbon footprint and saving planet earth. Blake represents the Black hard drive which is built to be fast and powerful for gaming enthusiasts and over clocker fans who want speed at their fingertips.

Western Digital believes that purchasing a hard drive in today’s world is more than just knowing the RPM and capacity. The evolution of computing has made the identification of needs and lifestyle an important factor in shaping purchasing decision. It is their prerogative to educate customers and empower them with the knowledge to make the right choices when they shop for a hard drive.

Brent, Gus and Blake will have their own website, where they will be hosting contests and sharing tips on buying, maintaining and technical-handling hard drives.
