We're calling all fitness soldiers and wild athlete animals to participate in this free event.
Miami, FL (PRWEB) July 31, 2012
Miami will make fitness history as The Warrior Nation hosts the region’s first-ever Flash Mob Extreme Fitness Challenge, a free event scheduled for August 18 at 8 a.m. at Margaret Pace Park in Midtown Miami.
“We’re calling all fitness soldiers and wild athlete animals to participate in this exciting free event,” said Nathan Ribeiro, co-founder of The Warrior Nation. “We want to get your blood flowing, adrenaline pumping and have your body worked hard at the same time.”
Participants will also have the opportunity to win a cash prize. The event will present a set of 16 hardcore physical challenges, with the best-performing athlete earning a $500 cash prize, Second place winning $200 and Third place winning $100.
The event will launch The Warrior Nation’s Free Preview Week, a week of hardcore training sessions to be held in area parks, pools and outdoor facilities throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. All Preview Week sessions will feature a pioneering 90-minute pro performance-training program designed to advance stamina, endurance, strength, power and speed.
After the Flash Mob Fitness Challenge event on August 18, The Warrior Nation will offer unique weekly Flash Mob training challenges at various non-traditional training sites throughout South Florida. These free Flash Mob events are open to the public and will take place at 9:00 a.m. every Saturday morning. The location of the Flash Mob will be posted on The Warrior Nation’s website on the Thursday before each event.
“We want to create some fresh, new excitement and deliver fitness as a unique new experience” said Ribeiro. “Challenging, Flash Mob-style training is one way The Warrior Nation plans to carry that out.”
The Warrior Nation is creating a revolutionary new movement that brings together Extreme Fitness, Fitness Nutrition, Unique Social Events, and Community Outreach all in one dynamic, new fitness lifestyle community. “We are definitely not a boot camp or a cross fit program,” said Melanie Mayo, co-founder of The Warrior Nation. “We are looking for men and women athletes who have tried those and other trends and are ready to take themselves and their training to the next level.”
The Warrior Nation is a “Gym Without Walls” concept. Training sessions will take place at strategically selected parks, pools and other outdoor sites in Miami, South Beach, and Ft. Lauderdale. “Membership goes beyond just joining a gym, it means joining a Nation of likeminded performance driven athletes with a fitness lifestyle and social and community service mindsets,” Ribeiro said. “If you are looking for a radical new approach to your training routine and want to become part of a driving force in a new social community, we invite you to be revolutionary and join the movement -- join The Warrior Nation.”
