One of the first sports sites globally to implement the Facebook API Stream, CMDN.com aims to provide enhanced user experience to its cricket loving community

This is just the start, our engineers are working on a lot more features which would make us a compelling destination for the cricket lovers among the rapidly expanding Facebook community

Cricket Site CMDN.com has announced today the availability of enhanced user experience for its community by implementing the Facebook Stream API and Facebook Connect.

Facebook Stream is the flow of information on Facebook, which manifests itself on a user's home page as the News Feed and on the user's profile as the Wall. It represents the content a user shares with friends in a real-time setting.

Using the recently released Open Stream API from Facebook, CMDN.com connects to its users' streams and let them read their streams on the CMDN.com web site. With this implementation, CMDN.com is one of the first sites globally, to provide a user interface for the Facebook stream, to serve its community of users.

Using the Facebook Stream API, CMDN.com allows its users to read and create Facebook content whilst they are on the CMDN.com web-site. Thus, CMDN.com can get its users' stories, comments, and likes, and incorporate this data into the CMDN.com user experience. In addition, CMDN.com can create content directly into their users' stream, allowing them to post comments and likes from CMDN.com.

"At CMDN.com, we are committed to providing our users with a compelling user experience. Though a late starter in cricket publishing, our quick loading full scorecard-based cricket scorecasting(tm) has made us one of the most popular sites in the Indian sub-continent. Using Facebook Connect and Facebook Stream API, we intent to enhance the overall user experience of the CMDN.com community in a significant manner," said Dennis Paul M, Founder and President. "This is just the start, our engineers are working on a lot more features which would make us a compelling destination for the cricket lovers among the rapidly expanding Facebook community," he added.

The Facebook implementation on cmdn.com has been built by the engineering team at Cordiant Technologies, the India-based provider of outsourced product development services for Independent Software Vendors and Web Businesses.
