It takes a ‘Man’s Man’ to proactively change the attitudes and habits relating to men’s health around the world and FaceLube is honored to be part of the conversation.

FaceLube Automotive, distributor of the new line of male grooming and anti-aging [men’s skin care announces the success of its month long campaign to support the USLMRA’s MOWvember campaign to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. The U.S. Lawn Mower Racing Association’s own campaign, dubbed “MOWvember”, is part of the international Movember initiative, which occurs every November to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The initiative is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on tens and thousands of men’s faces, in the U.S. and around the world. With their Mo’s, participating men help to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, such as prostate and other cancers that affect men. In 2010, over 64,500 American Mo Bros and Mo Sistas got on board, raising $7.5 million dollars.

Through the “MOWvember” campaign, the U.S. Lawn Mower Racing Association called on lawn mower racers across the country to support this effort through proactive fundraising and a mustache contest. FaceLube Best Men’s Skin Care’s participation started in early November through sponsorship of the Sam Rogers U.S. All American Open, in Stevenson, Alabama, where lawn mower racers registered with a clean-shaven face. “For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as ‘Mo Bros’ must groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery, supported by the women in their lives, ‘Mo Sistas’. Through their actions and words they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often-ignored issue of men’s health,” according to USMLRA President, Mr. Mow-It-All, Bruce Kaufman.

At the end of the month, MOWvember Mustache Contest participants will have submitted final photos of their kick grass mustache and a week-long voting period will be opened to the lawn mower racing community. Photos of the winner of the MOWvember Mustache Contest will be posted after the first week of December on the USLMRA’s Cutting Edge Blog. Prizes for the Best Mustaches include FaceLube’s Best Skin Care For Men, a goody box from STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer, Gold Eagle Co., EZ Lift and Liquivac Oil Change System, among others.
