It is rewarding to see early educators and administrators embrace Cranberry Red Balloon and utilize it to fire the imagination of their students. Being able to inspire imagination was a large part of my inspiration for creating this family songs album.
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) May 24, 2012
Family songs CD Cranberry Red Balloon by Tab Laven received rave reviews from early childhood educators and administrators at the Super Saturday Childcare Conference held May 5, 2012 at the Lamar Institute of Technology Multi-Purpose Building in Beaumont, Texas.
Sharon Kruger, M. Ed, School Readiness Integration Program Coordinator, and Super Saturday Event planner said, “In playing Cranberry Red Balloon for childcare administrators they agreed that it is calming music they want in their programs.”
Kruger went on to say, “It is refreshing to hear quality music for families that uses real instruments and voices. As a Pre-K teacher, I am always looking for music that engages children with visual imagery that they can relate to.”
Cecil Picard of Maurice Elementary in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana is excited to be introducing the family songs CD Cranberry Red Balloon into their early year’s classrooms. Counselor, Maxine Dartez said, “We love the calming effect the music has and are excited to incorporate it into our kindergarten and pre-K programs.”
Kruger will be partnering with the team at Blue Earth Records, the producers of Cranberry Red Balloon, to do workshops at future conferences. The workshops will touch upon the missing piece of education: Imagination.
Since the 1800’s, references to imagination as the key to learning have been made. Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand. The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.”
The workshops will focus on how educators can use music from the album Cranberry Red Balloon and others to create an interest in subjects like science, math, storytelling, reading, problem solving and literature therefore creating an inviting entry point for the students to want to learn.
“It is very rewarding to see early educators and administrators embrace Cranberry Red Balloon and utilize it to fire the imagination of their students. Being able to inspire imagination was a large part of my inspiration for creating this family songs album,” said Tab Laven.
Cranberry Red Balloon was produced by MJ Earth Corp. and Blue Earth Records. Credits: Co-Produced by Tab Laven and Grammy award winning engineer Mills Logan. Executive Producer Annie Kananack.
