New Fan Cans Motorsports Recycling Receptacle

“We’re excited to see Fan Cans bring their innovation in football and baseball to motorsports,” says Michael Burch, Vice President of National Sales & Marketing at Speedway Motorsports, Inc.

Fan Cans, LLC recently announced the introduction of a new design to its lineup of unique recycling and waste receptacles targeted to motorsports fans, racing facility managers, and corporate sponsors affiliated with motorsports and the auto industry. The new design features recycling and waste container lids shaped like motorsports driver helmets, and the product line expansion builds on the success of Fan Cans’ prior ventures with football and baseball batter helmet designs. Fan Cans have been used in NFL, MLB and NCAA stadiums across the country to attract fans, increase sponsorship activation rates, and improve recycling collection results.

Unlike typical recycling and waste containers, Fan Cans are specifically targeted to the sports fan marketplace, providing a unique avenue for facility owners and corporate sponsors to stand out in the crowd and attract fans at sporting events. Fans are then more motivated to make use of the containers, which maximizes brand impressions, increases recycling collections, and reduces clean-up costs.

With this latest design, Fan Cans broadens the scope of fan appeal and interaction beyond the sports arena itself. “Our new motorsports design enables clients to stretch their brand activation and sustainability dollars at off-the-track ‘brick and mortar’ locations such as auto, truck and motorcycle dealerships, gas stations, auto supply stores, restaurants, and other retail locations,” explains Ramsey Crosby, Fans Cans’ chief operating officer.

“Fan Cans have proven to be a huge hit with sports fans, and because they can be produced in any color and branded with any corporate, team and/or driver logos, the possibilities for reaching fans and enhancing motorsports sponsorship campaigns - both track-side and off-track - are almost limitless,” Crosby adds.

With the growing popularity of both motorsports competitions and distinctive fan experiences, establishing a unique affinity relationship with the fan base will prove increasingly important to facility and event owners, retailers, sponsors, drivers and industry organizations. “We’re excited to see Fan Cans bring their innovation in football and baseball to motorsports. The unique design of the Fan Cans will grab fan attention and awareness of sponsors and speedway recycling efforts,” says Michael Burch, Vice President of National Sales & Marketing at Speedway Motorsports, Inc. “Fan Cans give sponsors and facilities a creative way to expose their brands and messages to race fans,” says Burch.

The Fan Cans product line includes 45-gallon recycling and waste receptacles that utilize up to 50% post-consumer and industrial plastic, and all Fan Cans are 100% recyclable at the manufacturer at the end of their life cycle.
