"Our readers really did the 'work' of choosing who the hottest baseball wives are this year," said Jonathan Bentz, one of Fantasy Baseball Dugout's primary bloggers. "Now they have a chance to support their favorite team's hott wife and help us determine the hottest."

Last year, the fantasy baseball blog created a page devoted to the gorgeous wives of Major League Baseball players and noticed an immediate boost in incoming traffic. After several profiles of these same famous baseball wives generated similar interest, the team of bloggers behind Fantasy Baseball Dugout decided to let their readers have the final say in who truly is baseball's hottest wife.

In 2008, ten finalists were selected for the contest based on search trends and page views of hottest wife nominees. Voting to determine the winner was text message driven and handled entirely by mobile marketing company PromoTXT. The blog received over 3500 votes with former fashion model Heidi DeRosa, wife of then Chicago Cubs infielder Mark, named the winner with almost 50% of the vote.

This season, text message voting will once again be provided thanks to mobile marketing solution 84444.com, but Fantasy Baseball Dugout will also enlist the online voting services of Poll Daddy.

"Text message voting is a great way to gauge public opinion," said Bob Bentz, publisher of Fantasy Baseball Dugout. "We were certainly impressed by the thousands of people who participated in our text message vote last year for Baseball's Hottest Wife and we are glad to be able to include online voting as well this year."

Voting for your favorite hott baseball wife is easy at Fantasy Baseball Dugout. Polls are setup at the top of the right sidebar of the website and on the exclusive homebase devoted to baseball's hottest wives. You can also text message your vote by texting HOTT(space)(number) of your favorite hott baseball wife to '84444.' For example, to vote for Anna Benson by text message, send 'HOTT 1' to 84444.
