Sports social networking site tourlegends.com announces the launch of tourlegends Fantasy Cricket, a free application which enables cricket fans & players to create and manage a fantasy cricket competition within their club or amongst friends.
To play a user must be registered on tourlegends and be associated with at least one sports club or team. To start a new league, users simply add the application to their club profile, create a list of players within their club and assign each one a value between 1 and 10 (10 = the better player). A player's value is based on the ability of the player to score points through 'real-life' performances with bat, ball and in the field. Club members then select their fantasy XI from the list and compete against each other to see who was able to pick the most successful team.
To award points the league creator inputs the 'real life' performances of players into the system which then automatically calculates how many points each players has scored, updates teams with the appropriate points and refreshes league tables. The application allows for users to exchange banter with each other on the fantasy cricket competition message board as well as to send virtual trophies and gifts to weekly/monthly winners and overall champions.
"With the cricket clubs in the northern hemisphere starting their season in the coming weeks, a fantasy cricket league is a fun way of adding a bit of extra excitement to the season," says tourlegends founder, Nellie Rogers.
