Mahwah, NJ (PRWEB) November 12, 2012

The annual Northeast Spa and Pool Association award show was held recently for nearly 200 pool design and construction companies in the Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut area. At the 2012 awards, Cipriano Landscape Design received awards for five different pool designs, one of which is located in Far Hills, New Jersey. The traditional pool design features a clean, rectangular shape, a raised spa, formal patio, glass tile finishes, custom fountains, an auto-cover, and a remote automation system. All of these elements combined to earn Cipriano an Award of Excellence for geometric pools, 601-square-foot or more.

The Far Hills, NJ pool design includes a 1,100-square-foot swimming pool and an 80-square-foot spa. The design itself is very detailed, using beautiful materials to come together for a seamless, stylish look. Starting at the bottom, the swimming pool and spa showcase a vibrant light blue Hydrazzo plaster that shimmers in the summer sun. The plaster extends up the pool floor and walls to meet up with a 10-inch glass tile waterline in the pool and spa. The waterline tile features colored glass tile set in a unique blend that actually complements the stone veneer used on the Far Hills estate. The glass tile colors pull from the bright blue of the plaster and the earth tones of the stone veneer.

Above the swimming pool, the 80-square-foot spa can be found sitting on the patio. The spa showcases the same plaster and waterline tile as the pool. Natural stone veneer appears on the outside of the spa; it is the same veneer used for portions of the home, pillars in the landscape, as well as the nearby outdoor fireplace. On the side facing the pool, the spa wall beholds three handcrafted copper spigots pouring water into the pool with some refined, formal symmetry. Atop the spa, limestone coping matches the detailed limestone pool patio with several custom inlays and the custom profiled limestone coping of the pool design.

For convenience, efficiency, and safety, two primary pieces of technology were included for the Far Hills swimming pool. First of all, the auto-cover provides a couple of different advantages for the homeowner. When not in use, the pool can be closed quickly and easily. This alone offers efficiency as it keeps heat inside the pool. The cover will also provide safety by adding an extra barrier between any unsupervised children and the pool water. Lastly, the cover is very convenient and can reduce the evaporation of chemicals from the pool water. Convenience for the Far Hills homeowner also came in the form of some high-tech pool equipment. The equipment is a remote automation system that connects with a free iPhone app to control lights, water features, pumps, and heaters directly from a phone or computer.

The formal, elegant design reveals a seamless structure that blends beautifully with the home and its surroundings. The complementary colors and unique finishes take the traditional lap pool design to an award-winning level of craftsmanship. Finally, the auto-cover and automation provided some convenient finishing touches for this New Jersey back yard.

NJ Swimming Pool The aerial view of the Far Hills estate showcases the traditional pool design as the most alluring feature of the luxurious mansion property.

The blue Hydrazzo plaster shines brightly in the backyard, like an oasis in a sea of the finest natural stone and perfectly manicured courtyards. The award-winning inground pool received a design award for a traditional style that fits the setting.

Traditional Pool Design The geometric pool demonstrates simplicity and symmetry in a very refined, stylish fashion. The NJ pool’s beauty lies in its structure and formality.

A formal patio, three copper fountains, and a raised spa complement the lap pool. The spa and pool design offer a clear destination and focal point as the homeowner looks out or exits from the glass doors leading out to the patio.

Pool and Spa The spa, tile, fountains, and natural stone veneer blend together to highlight the detail and intrigue of the traditional inground pool.

The 10-inch glass tile waterline in the swimming pool and spa tie all of the colors together across the design. The glass tile blend dazzles with colors borrowed from the vibrant pool plaster and the natural stone found on the spa and the home.

Lap Pool Design The formal design distinguished itself from other NJ inground pools entered in the awards. Materials, precision, and overall appearance earned this pool a prestigious design award.

The raised spa creates an attractive focal point and a beautiful space to relax and take in the sights of the surrounding expanse of gorgeous NJ land. The Far Hills pool design shines as brightly as the blue skies overhead.
