“I’m more down to earth. That’s how I was raised.” And that’s why he was on FarmersOnly.

Meeting new people can be difficult for anyone. But for a farmer, it can be almost impossible. Their busy days leave little time to socialize. When they do have time, it’s hard to find someone who understands their lifestyle. What to do? Hang out at the local feed store all day, and hope?
Fortunately, the Internet is making the world a smaller, more romantic place…even for farmers.
Earlier this year, Suprenna worked on a horse farm in Arizona while a thousand miles away, Kenny was busy on his crop farm in Kansas. Both were having a tough time finding romance.
Then, Suprenna’s friend recommended a dating website for farmers called FarmersOnly.com. Suprenna was reluctant. “I had already tried online dating for a while,” she said. “A lot of people on those sites were superficial and caught up in the rat race.”
But after only a couple of weeks on FarmersOnly, Suprenna met Kenny. “I’m not into the big city life,” said Kenny. “I’m more down to earth. That’s how I was raised.” And that’s why he was on FarmersOnly.
Daily emails turned into instant message conversations. They grew to know each other better, and eventually the pair decided to meet in person. Kenny invited Suprenna to fly to Kansas City.
Kenny took Suprenna out to dinner for their first date. The conversation was going well until he excused himself from the table. 10…15…20 minutes passed while Surprenna waited and waited for Kenny to return.
“It felt like forever,” Suprenna recalls. Kenny had disappeared! Surprenna sat helpless and alone in a town she didn’t know while the waiter checked on her frequently to inquire if everything was ok. Had Kenny ditched her?
After more than 30 minutes, a frazzled Kenny came rushing back to the table. He had forgotten his wallet but didn’t want to tell her before. Now that he was back, Suprenna sighed with relief.
They enjoyed getting to know one another, going to a movie, and making a trip to Cabela’s. They visited Kenny’s farm and together they cleaned up the yard and pruned the roses.
Suprenna flew back to Arizona and the very next day, Kenny was driving to visit her… and to move her back to Kansas.
“If it weren’t for FarmersOnly, we would have never met,” said Suprenna. “On FarmersOnly, it’s actually easy to find people with the same interests!”
Suprenna and Kenny are just two of the countless couples who have met on FarmersOnly. The company estimates that it is responsible for an average of one marriage per week.
