An iPhone app launched in May has become the UK’s leading independent fashion ‘app’ after clocking up more than 10,000 downloads in just six weeks.

The free app has been a regular in the iTunes Top 25 free lifestyle apps since it was launched and remains the UK’s top independent fashion app on iTunes.

The app is a spin off from the success of TheFashionPixie.com, a website which pulls together every fashion sale, deal and discount code from over 300 high street retailers and online brands onto one independent online portal.

Nicole Snape, founder of TheFashionPixie.com said: “We have more than 5,000 registered users on the website, and now more than 10,000 fashion pixies with the app. The demand has been amazing, and we are delighted that so many women are using the site and app to keep up to date with where the best fashion deals are, so they can grab the best fashion bargains.”

Both the site and the app are completely free to use and both are updated as soon as new fashion deals and sales are announced by high street retailers and fashion websites. Registered users also receive a twice-weekly email alert, making sure they can hit the shops at the start of fashion sales before it’s too late to snap up the hottest bargains.

“We have a number of contributors up and down the country who send us pictures from their phones when they see sales, and we also trawl hundreds of websites and emails to find the best sales first. Basically it saves you having to register for hundreds of emails, and we also filter out the emails that are boring and don’t offer discounts, so you just get the best deals, sales and codes.” She added.

TheFashionPixie.com app is available to download free from the iTunes store and users can register in seconds to receive twice-weekly email sales alerts.
