We have been working hard to diversify the line to appeal to a broader audience

Calliope Designs, makers of personalized Christmas ornaments for over 30 years is expanding into international languages by launching a Feliz Navidad category on their website, found on the web at http://www.calliopedesigns.com. The Spanish speaking market, even just within the US is a fast growing concern with over 28 million Spanish speakers in the U.S. as of 2000.

Stephanie Eddy, co-owner and President of Calliope Designs explained, "Our business is based in California, which has one of the largest populations of Spanish speaking Americans and we just felt it was time to expand into this market. It's been great fun designing these new Spanish language ornaments and creating the wording and we're thrilled to have them up on the website and ready to sell for the 2008 holiday season."

Calliope Designs has specialized in creating unique personalized ornaments since the 1970's. Not only are their ornaments available for any size and shape of family, but there are ornaments for professions, sports and family events like engagements, weddings and pets. Each ornament was designed by Dorr Eddy, co-owner and lead designer for Calliope and every ornament can be personalized with names, dates or any specific wording that will make the ornament more personal or special.

"We have been working hard to diversify the line to appeal to a broader audience" continued Eddy. "We've created categories for families with mom's and dad's and any number of kids, partner ornaments, new home ornaments and baby's first Christmas ornaments - it only made sense that we expand beyond English and ultimately beyond the borders of the U.S. and pull from different holiday traditions as well. In fact, we already have an entire Irish themed category! We are starting primarily with Spanish sayings but we're probably going to quickly expand to other countries and languages as well!"

As a small business owner on the web, Calliope Designs understands the need to diversify and grow to serve the changing web market. Not only are the constantly adding additional personalization options, they are also always adding to the consumer friendly content, generating articles and information all about their product and industry.

"We're excited this year to offer several new pages about alternate ornament displays for our customers. We plan to offer images, ideas and how-to instructions on creating your own innovative and charming holiday décor using Calliope personalized Christmas ornaments," added Eddy. "With these new pages and our existing holiday ornament articles, we feel like we're creating a better user experience for our customers and helping them learn who we are!"
