Humane Society University(HSU) has retained Fetching Communications to heighten awareness, nationwide, about their training and education programs. HSU is the training arm of The Humane Society of the United States. Through online courses and degree programs, along with on-site workshops, HSU provides animal care and control professionals and other animal advocates with the knowledge and skills to work with animals. Workshops include such programs as Disaster Animal Response Training, which teaches participants how to help animals in the event of a disaster.

Pet ownership in America is stronger than ever before, with 63% of all US households owning a pet. That’s 71.1 million homes! Pet ownership has increased 22% since 1996. In 2007 Americans spent 40.8 billion dollars on their pets for pet food, accessories, veterinarian care, OTC medications, gifts and maintenance.
