Input Schedules From Excel to iPad

This is the perfect tool to deploy to your sales or warehouse floor manager. Numbers are going to come in a much more structured and improved way.

DSPanel, specializing in mobile business intelligence and structured planning solutions, announces the launch of mobile planning input schedules, allowing Excel users to deploy budgeting, forecasting and planning schedules right out to mobile devices, helping to simplify and shorten their fiscal and managerial cycles.

Once deployed from Excel, the recipient is able to open the schedule and then input figures directly from the device they are using and send those figures right back to the sender's Excel spreadsheet. As these planning schedules can be incorporated with business intelligence data, those input schedules can become part of individualized, dynamic dashboards, allowing users to see other key figures such as, market data, prior year targets, year to date targets vs. actuals and much more information, thus improving a user's overall decision quality.

Mikael Hägglöf, V.P. of Sales at DSPanel had this to say, “Allowing Excel users to deploy mobile input schedules is going to be a huge step forward for anyone who has struggled to keep their budget cycle times low, this is especially hard when they have multiple managers who don’t work in an office and are out in the field. This is the perfect tool to deploy to your sales or warehouse managers. Numbers are going to come in, in a much more structured and timely manner.”

Just imagine, the finance department, being able to send out a mobile input dashboard each fiscal cycle, automatically from within Excel, and these numbers are then received back into Excel. Those users who aren’t regularly in Excel, no longer have to be tied to their computers in order to send forecasting information back to the finance department. Finance can also, using a dashboard see which workers haven’t submitted their numbers and with a click, remind those users to fill in the necessary information.
