Schools use AppFairs technology to raise funds, showcased at the 2012 National PTA Conference.

Los Gatos, CA (PRWEB) June 28, 2012

AppFairs, today announced the launch of a new app discovery platform specifically designed to help schools money. Calling it a “Book Fair” for the 21st century, AppFairs unveiled their new platform which they hope will help address the outdated and labor intensive fundraising systems used by many schools today. “Massive budget cuts are forcing our schools into a dire situation. Our goal is to provide a simple, effective fundraising mechanism to help close the gap.” said Brett Alter, President of AppFairs.

AppFairs recently unveiled and showcased their new platform at the 2012 National PTA Conference in San Jose, California. PTA members, District Supervisors and Superintendents of various national school districts were impressed by the system’s overall simplicity and were elated to learn that AppFairs could be used as a unique, low resource fundraiser to benefit their schools.

Users of the AppFairs technology can filter apps and other interactive content by age, price, device or category. For example, if a parent is seeking an app that focuses on math concepts for a 1st grader, they can use the simple and powerful filtering tools provided by the AppFairs system to find more targeted and relevant apps. “The system is so powerful, yet simple to use. We just can’t see any reason why a school wouldn’t use the AppFairs fundraising platform,” states Alter “AppFairs portals are free and provide an overall better experience for the user to find age appropriate and curated apps, iBooks, music and movies for the iPhone, iPad and iPod. It’s an amazing discovery tool. You can now find the exact app or interactive content that you want for your child.”

AppFairs has a backend interface that is easy to use, where schools can easily customize their portal with their logo, school colors, school information, and check funds that have been raised.
