We have supported RRISA for many years now and we are thrilled to continue that support through this year's bag sale.
Atlanta, GA (Vocus) March 18, 2009
Spring is almost here and that means it is time for Finders Keepers ' annual bag sale. Those that participate in the bag sale pay $10 and receive a large bag which they can fill with merchandise from Fashions and Boutique. This year's bag sale benefits Refugee Resettlement and Immigration Services of Atlanta (RRISA) and will be held on Saturday, March 21 at Fashions.
"The bag sale is a great way for our customers to purchase items for their closet at an affordable price while supporting a great non-profit," said Bonnie Kallenberg, Owner of Finders Keepers. "We have supported RRISA for many years now and we are thrilled to continue that support through this year's bag sale."
RRISA works on behalf of refugees from all over the world who have escaped war, torture and threat to their way of life. RRISA helps hundreds of refugees each year start a new life in the Atlanta community by providing a welcome at the airport, basic needs items, emotional and job support, and cultural orientation. For more information on RRISA, visit http://www.rrisa.org.
"Many of these refugees come to Atlanta from war-torn and impoverished countries, so they come with very little if anything at all," said Leanne Rubenstein, Development Director at RRISA. "Helping these refugees costs money and it is because of local supporters such as Finders Keepers that we can continue to help those who have had little control over the situations that they have faced."
To attend the bag sale take I-285 East to Exit #41 (Memorial Drive/GA-10 West/Cynthia McKinney Parkway) and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Memorial Drive. Turn right onto Mountain Drive and go approximately one-half mile. Turn right onto Covington Highway/US-278 and continue straight onto North Avondale Plaza. Continue on North Avondale Road and Fashions will be on the right.
