This is a great event to sample mouth-watering recipes like Sweet Corn Chowder with fresh thyme from Sheldrake Point & Simply Red Bistro or try the Orzo Salad with feta and dill from Six Mile Creek Vineyard. Each winery will serve a different fine wine paired with an herb/veggie dish. A sampling of herb/veggie plants that will be used in the food recipes and offered to participants to take home include: Arugula, Cilantro, Dill, Howden Pumpkin, Lemon Basil, Marjoram, Oregano, Peppermint, Potato(Seed Potatoes), Purple Lavender, Sage, Sweet 100 Tomato, Sweet Italian Basil, Thyme, Triple Curled Parsley and Zucchini.

Think spring, plan for harvest! New this year, if participants can resist eating their take-home plants – once they’ve fully grown, this fall they can enter their best homegrown zucchinis, potatoes, and pumpkins into the “Grow and Show” contest at the Harvest Hoopla in September.
