Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company has ordered new Chevrolet Tahoes from Empire Emergency Apparatus Inc to be used as full-service emergency vehicles.
Three new Chevrolet Tahoe SSV models will be upfitted by Empire Emergency Apparatus Inc and used as new vehicles for Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company’s fire chiefs.
The upfit will include the following components: Whelen Liberty LED lightbar, Whelen Vertex LED Hide-A-Way lights in the headlights, tail lights and reverse lights, Whelen ION LED lights, Soundoff Signal Intersector LED lights, Havis vehicle specific console and a complete VSP Graphics lettering package.
Joe Osika, first assistant chief of Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company said: “We were advised by another vendor to give Empire Emergency a call. So I contacted Mike McLaughlin, president of Empire Emergency Apparatus, and went out to check out the shop and explain what we were looking for. When I arrived, I was pleased to see multiple vehicles in the shop being outfitted with emergency lighting. I was amazed at the knowledge of the technicians and the quality of the work that they were doing. They were more than happy to listen to what we were looking for and make a few recommendations, which we added to our vehicles. Empire is very quick to respond during the design process and proud of the work that they do. I can see them being a long time preferred vendor of the Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company.”
