Leon Ewing, President/CEO of Firstmark Credit Union announced the winners of their 8th Annual Educator’s Award program. Designed with full-time educators of kindergarten through 12th grades in mind, Firstmark Credit Union awarded ten scholarships of $500 to each educator.
The scholarship program was open to public school and private school educators. Through the application, educators were asked to explain how they would use the scholarship funds and what impact the award would have on their students and in their classrooms.
This year’s winners are: Jamie Dale Eisenhower Middle School, NEISD; Vanessa Cobarruvias, Mary Burns Michael Elementary, NISD; Linda Garcia Brisco Middle School, NISD; Marilee Gibbs,Olympia Elementary, Judson ISD; Kristen Guerra, Frank Tejeda Middle School. NEISD;Robin Howard, STEM Academy, NEISD; Kent Page, Peggy Carnahan Elementary, NISD; Debora Parker, Madison High School, NEISD; Marisol Walker,Spring Meadows Elementary, Judson ISD; and Edith Whitaker, Carnahan Elementary, NISD.
