Evans Fitness Club is happy to announce they will be the starting point for the 1st annual Just Cure It 5k/10k race. The event is being held to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma society and will be held on June 22.
All proceeds from the event go to charity. For the runners, there will also be $2,500 in cash prizes, as well as special vendors and giveaways.
Interested individuals can go to http://www.active.com to register. The event is a great cause and truly makes a difference in the lives of those battling cancer. Participants that registered before May 17 helped contribute to Evan’s Fitness’ General Manager, Mike Montarbo’s fundraising page to win the LLS man of the year competition. Evans Fitness is involved with more than 15 charities, and has generated between $5,000 and $10,000 at individual events. They also believe in giving back to their communities in other ways. Along with partnering with charities to raise money, they also assist local youth organizations and schools to promote an appreciation of health and fitness.
