Brooklyn Fitness Expert Jon Quinn is Introducing a New "Choose Your Own Price" Membership Program for His Brooklyn-Based Fitness Boot Camp; Believing that Hard Economic Times Shouldn’t Prevent Anyone from Reaping the Benefits of Personal Fitness Training. Additionally, Captain Quinn will Match 20% of all Commitments Above a Monthly Target Amount with a Donation to a Health or Wellness-Focused “Charity of the Month.”

"Service Through Fitness"

Americans are getting less healthy by the day and I believe lack of education and lack of affordable fitness programs are significant contributing factors. I’m determined to play a part in reversing that trend...Serve first and the rest will follow."

Jon Quinn, fitness expert and creator of Captain Quinn’s Brooklyn Fitness Boot Camp, is determined to change the relationship between money and personal fitness. Starting April 1st, prospective fitness boot camp members will choose their own price.

“In some yoga communities and in many less mainstream fitness and wellness practices, a donation model has always existed so this isn’t unheard of,” says Quinn. “There’s no reason fitness training can’t use a similar model. Fitness Boot Camps have exploded in popularity in recent years. They offer a fun and more cost effective way for people to benefit from the expert fitness instruction, guidance, motivation, accountability, and results that a good personal trainer provides. However, in this economic climate, even a group exercise program is too much for many budgets. I’m running the classes no matter who shows up. Why should I limit participation (and therefore prevent people from improving their health and level of happiness) simply because some can’t afford as much?"

Hoping to simultaneously broaden the impact of his program and entice clients with deeper pockets to “invest lavishly” in their health, Captain Quinn will match a percentage of each month’s membership dues above a pre-determined threshold (published each month) to a health and wellness "Charity of The Month.” Charities on the list include Team for Kids, Action for Healthy Kids, the American Diabetes Foundation, and the Children’s Health Initiative, among others. In time, Captain Quinn’s Fitness Boot Camp intends to expand the program to get local and regional businesses involved in the donation matching. “This is only the beginning, “ according to Captain Quinn.

With a passion for fitness and service spanning a career of 20 years including the United States Air Force, non-profit organizations, fitness clubs, and multinational corporations, “Captain” Quinn started Quinn Essential Fitness LLC and Captain Quinn’s Brooklyn Fitness Boot Camp with the goal of serving others through fitness. “Americans are getting less healthy by the day and I believe lack of education and lack of affordable fitness programs are significant contributing factors. I’m determined to play a part in reversing that trend and I am confident this model will be a success for my clients, the community and Captain Quinn's Fitness Boot Camp. Serve first and the rest will follow.”
