With this new, elevated place of fitness in American values in mind, John Battaglino created, a social network where individuals can set and reach fitness goals. Members of set fitness challenges, which, when accomplished, earn them badges and points to unlock coupons to buy items in the Point Redemption Store. Members manage their challenges with a Workout Tracker, enabling them to set goals, specifying quantifiable results, for a specific deadline. The user can track their progress in a line graph, viewable by day, week, month, and year. In the near future, Battaglino plans to add dedicated pages for trainers and nutritionists. Also, part of the site’s evolution will be the addition of more and varied items to the Proshop.

Battaglino points out that “what sets apart from other sites is the sense of competition.” Often, the knowledge that exercise and good nutrition will make a person’s life better is not sufficient motivation for them to begin a fitness program. Sometimes people need an added nudge to do what they know is best for their physical wellness.
