PrimePay Inc., a leading nationwide provider of payroll, tax, HR and benefit services, has launched a new services portal called PrimeFlex Online for their pre-tax health account and flexible benefit plan clients. Employers that offer flexible spending accounts (FSA), health reimbursement arrangements (HRA) and health savings accounts (HSA) as part of their benefits package can improve HR efficiencies and provide employees with online resources to make smarter economic decisions when it comes to health care choices.

Selected as one of eight FIS third party administrators (TPAs) to be given this portal capability, PrimePay’s PrimeFlex division is proud to provide their clients with easy-to-use online solutions for managing participant flex plan records as well as HSA, FSA and HRA resources and tools for employees to make educated decisions on their benefit plan options. This development project was a joint initiative between PrimeFlex and FIS, the world’s largest provider of technology to the financial services and payments industries.

FSA, HRA and HSA participants will enjoy a more dynamic experience with on-demand videos as well as easier access to information. Employers have been granted greater access and control… giving them additional flexibility to handle their daily benefit plan and participant changes. PrimeFlex continues to focus its efforts on providing more access and transparency to their participants and employers.

Businesses that use PrimeFlex pre-tax flex accounts to enhance their employee benefits package can easily access and maintain participant records via the web using the Employer Login. The login URL for employers has not changed. Improved website resources and features allow employers to:

  • Promote and explain their benefit plan options to employees
  • Initiate online enrollment for flexible benefit programs
  • Immediately process employee terminations
  • Add new employees or new hires
  • Record lost or stolen flex debit cards
  • Issue new flex debit cards to employees
  • Update employee addresses & direct deposit information
  • Submit claims for reimbursement via the web

Employees with FSA, HRA or HSA plans now have a host of self-service capabilities and educational resources through the PrimeFlex portal to help them make better informed decisions regarding health care coverage. These include:

  • Calculators to help accurately determine their annual plan election amounts
  • Educational tools, resources and videos explaining “What is an FSA?", “How does an HSA work?” and more
  • Access to detailed FSA, HSA and HRA frequently asked questions
  • Enhanced status tracking for claim reimbursement
  • Notifications and “in the news” updates regarding their benefit plans
  • Reminders for important plan dates using visual graphs and timelines
  • Year-to-date plan activity details

A smart phone mobile app will be available for the PrimeFlex services online portal this fall giving participants anywhere access to their accounts. Employees will be able to view account balances for all their flexible benefit plans, access details on recent transactions and submit claim reimbursements using an integrated photo capture feature for their receipts.
