Adoption is good for children, good for parents, and good for society, and we are in favor of any program that spotlights the adoption process.
Boynton Beach, FL (PRWEB) November 20, 2009
Brian M. Moskowitz, a well-respected family law attorney in south Florida, says the upcoming National Adoption Day can help raise awareness of foster children who need placement in permanent homes.
Held this year on November 21, National Adoption Day is an annual event sponsored by adoption agencies and advocates to put the focus on foster children in the U.S. It is also a day on which many adoptions are finalized across the nation. This year marks the event's 10th anniversary.
As a child of adoption, Mr. Moskowitz understands firsthand the joys and complexities of the adoption process. Mr. Moskowitz says it is especially rewarding to form new family bonds through adoption.
"Adoption is good for children, good for parents, and good for society, and we are in favor of any program that spotlights the adoption process," said Mr. Moskowitz.
In South Florida, residents can attend the free National Adoption Day Celebration at Langford Park in Jensen Beach from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 21. The event is a casual, open house event celebrating adoption and providing information for those interested in the process.
