The Tampa Bay area law firm of Bivins & Hemenway, P.A., is pleased to announce that managing partner Robert W. Bivins has been elected to serve on the Primerus Business Law Institute (PBLI) Executive Committee as Vice Chair for 2011.
The PBLI Executive Committee members are nominated and elected by their peers as a result of their involvement with and dedication to the PBLI. As Vice Chair, Mr. Bivins will be responsible for the planning of annual, educational PBLI conferences, will attend regular Executive Committee meetings via conference call, will provide guidance on the direction of the PBLI, and will serve as Chair when the PBLI Chair is unavailable. Additionally, Mr. Bivins will facilitate collaboration amongst the members within the PBLI and other Primerus Institutes.

Robert W. Bivins is a founding partner and the managing partner of Bivins & Hemenway, P.A. Mr. Bivins has held an "AV" rating from Martindale Hubbell for 15 years, and has been listed as a Florida Super Lawyer two consecutive years. He is a third generation Tampa Bay area resident, who in addition to his legal practice is also involved in property management, cattle ranching, and other agricultural enterprises. Mr. Bivins’ practice focuses on commercial, business law, and real estate transactions.
Additionally, Mr. Bivins serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Bivins was elected from a list of five area business leaders to serve for a three year term on the Board. He is also a member of The Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Real Estate Investment Council of Tampa Bay, and is the Chair of the Commercial Law Practice Group for the International Society of Primerus Law Firms.
