The Florida State Fair has announced the 2010 winners for overall best in show for rides, best food stand, first place adult and children's ride, and the people's choice for best ride or attraction.
- 1st place Food Stand: Polar Bear Ice Cream (new food vendor at the 2010 Florida State Fair)
- 2nd place Food Stand: Carousel Foods (sold the Krispy Kreme doughnut burger among other food items)
- Best in Show for Ride: Gentle Giant Wheel from Reithoffer
- 1st place Adult Ride: Fighter Mondial from Wade Shows
- 1st place Children's Ride: Western Mouse roller coaster from Reithoffer
- People's Choice for Best Ride or Attraction: The Original Batcopter
Judging criteria for food stands included overall appearance of staff and food stand, customer service, cleanliness of staff, quality of the food and taste, uniqueness of food and menu selection. Judging criteria for rides included performance of the ride and audience enjoyment, ride operator's appearance, customer service, and appearance surrounding the ride including paint, lights, landscaping and cleanliness. The people's choice for best ride or attraction was influenced by people's comments posted on the Fair's Facebook page and visitors who attended the fair.

The Florida State Fairgrounds is located just seven miles east of downtown Tampa, with easy access via I-75, I-4, U.S. Highway 301, Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, and Orient Road. Now in its 106th year, the Florida State Fair -- always in Tampa and always in February -- is organized by the Florida State Fair Authority under the leadership of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Agriculture Commissioner Charles H. Bronson leads the Fair Authority, which oversees operations for the Florida State Fairgrounds and the annual Florida State Fair. The Florida State Fair Authority is a non-profit organization which operates primarily from revenues generated from the annual State Fair and other ongoing events during the year. Presently, the Fair Authority does not receive any state tax appropriations from Hillsborough County, City of Tampa, nor the State of Florida.
