Full Sail University is proud to return as the primary sponsor of the 20th annual Florida Film Festival held April 8 through April 17, 2011. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the 10-day experience will pay tribute to the festival’s native state and namesake-Florida. This is Full Sail University’s eighth year as the primary sponsor and fourteenth year with the Festival.

During the 2011 Florida Film Festival attendees are invited to explore premieres of the best in cutting-edge current cinema, indulgent experiences in the finest cuisine, appearances by celebrity guests and an extensive list of special events and industry parties. The festival’s events will contain an American Independent competition showcasing narrative and documentary features, including the film This Narrow Place, which was produced and directed by Full Sail University Film graduate Sooney Kadouh, who worked to create the film along with Full Sail alumni James Godwin and Joseph Worth. In addition, a free industry forum focused on Digital Cinematography will be held on the campus of Full Sail University.

As the premier showcase in Central Florida for American independent and international film, the Florida Film Festival debuted in 1992 and is a core program of the Enzian in Maitland, FL. Both the Enzian and Florida Film Festival combined have served more than 1.5 million guests, premiered numerous films and hosted hundreds of celebrities, including: Paul Newman, Oliver Stone, Christopher Walken, Glenn Close, Emma Stone, James Caan, Jason Lee and Jon Voight.
