Guests are constantly on the go and many have commented on how convenient the FlytePass system is for checking flight status or printing boarding passes.

Flyte Systems, the leading provider of airport travel information displays and digital signage content for the hospitality industry, digital signage, convention centers and related businesses, announced that Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Downtown has installed its FlytePass real-time airline flight information and boarding pass printing solutions in a built-in, high-tech lobby kiosk to aid hotel guests with travel plans.

The property is the third owned by First Hospitality Group (FHG) to incorporate Flyte Systems' Solutions into its hotel lobby. FHG plans similarly integrated designs for Flyte Systems equipment in other properties.

"Our lobby is now airline information-ready, with flight information and boarding pass printing delivered via a strategically located digital signage kiosk," said Chris Hutchinson, general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis. "Guests are constantly on the go and many have commented on how convenient the FlytePass system is for checking flight status or printing boarding passes."

The FlytePass monitor and keyboard are recessed in a lobby wall in a sleek metal kiosk that matches the contemporary design of the 210-room, 10-story hotel. "Our busy guests appreciate being able to check their flight information and print boarding passes before they depart," said Hutchinson. "As the closest hotel to the Minneapolis Convention Center and only 12 miles from Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, the FlytePass is a key amenity for our hotel guests."

What sets Flyte Systems apart from PC-based applications is the ability to post accurate, real-time airline flight arrival and departure information, not FAA-regulated scheduled departure times that do not list delays caused by air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, crew availability and weather.

Flyte Systems offers a suite of products that serve the traveling public: FlyteBoard, FlytePass, FlyteChannel and FlyteTouch.

  •     FlyteBoard is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen for lobbies, restaurants, bars and other public areas, displaying flight information for one or more airports.
  •     FlytePass combines FlyteTouch with free, secure boarding pass printing and can be provided stand alone or neatly packaged in an optional all wood kiosk or integrated metal kiosk, to match your décor.
  •     FlyteChannel permits guests to view live airport flight information conveniently and comfortably from their in-room television.
  •     FlyteTouch enables individual guests to search flight information using an interactive touch screen that displays real-time flight arrivals and departures for one or more airports.

Many hotel properties also use Flyte Systems' applications to increase revenue with innovative marketing approaches for distressed travelers.
